PROJECT OVERVIEW

Situated at the downtown Power and Light District, the Kansas City Beer and Company represents a vision to create an outdoor beer park that serves as a peaceful retreat for beer drinking amidst the busy urban center. The program consists of a brewery, an office, interior and exterior gathering spaces, and support facilities.

The design concept is a a landscape being cut, folded, and pulled from the ground to create the qualities of a park - relaxing, enjoyable, and refreshing. The building’s sloping horizontal profile complements the verticality of adjacent mid-rise and skyscrapers: the 481-ft tall Kansas City Power and Light building, the 143-ft tall President Hotel, the 236-ft tall H&R Block World Headquarters, and the 651-ft tall One Kansas City Place.
